Winter has settled in on the Grand Valley. Since Christmas week GVZQ activities have slowed down due to the snow, low temperatures and inside warmth.
But that does not mean the quest for a zoo in the Grand Valley is over. After the grant-writing deadlines and the fund-raising activities (the Giving First, Dec. 4; the 29 Ways in 29 Days of re-cycling), new plans and new animals are in the works for spring and summer of 2013.
Just wait, we are working on future zoo-ventures here on the Western Slope of Colorado.
At our last Zoo Crew meeting, I noticed the quote of the day. Just remember--
